Close, procurement, deal desk

Security reviews and redlines are pattern matching over documents you have already answered. Let the agent draft. Keep the exceptions.

September 4, 2026

The last mile of a deal is paperwork that repeats. The security questionnaire has been answered before. The redline has been negotiated before. The pricing exception has a precedent somewhere in the archive.

An agent that has read every prior answer, contract, and approval drafts the response in minutes and shows its sources. The person owns the exceptions, the relationship with procurement, and the call on what the company will and will not sign.

The best example I have is a pricing objection. In the two hours before the follow-up call, an agent found a comparable account and how we had adapted the rate card for it, while I spent the time with two engineers learning what we could actually deliver. The proposal that went out was larger than the original quote, and they took it, because it answered what they were worried about. Full story in GTM in Flux.

Let precedent do the preparation

  1. Prior answers and approved terms

  2. A sourced draft

  3. A non-standard commitment?

A named person resolves the exception and authorizes the commitment.

Illustrative review boundary. Reusing a prior answer does not automatically authorize a new promise.
